Recipe for Meat Pies

  • 2 LBS Roast Beef
  • 2 LBS Pork Roast
  • 2 Tablespoon Salt
  • 1 1/2 Tsp Pepper
  • Garlic (several cloves)
  • Onions X 2
  • Potatoes  X 4 (big potatoes)
  • Tenderflake x 2lb (Lard)

Cut both roasts into chunks, cover with water.

Add 2 onions, garlic, salt & pepper.  

Cook until until almost no water then rip meat apart.

In separate pot cook potatoes- add salt while cooking.

Mash potatoes, add onions/salt/pepper.  

While meat is cooking make dough and place in fridge.

Dough will roll out better if you put in fridge for at least 1/2 hour.

Once meat is cooked, roll out dough add meat and use the dough press to form small meat pies. Add egg whites to meat pies and cook at 350 F for 20 minutes.  I slightly undercook them so when I cook to eat them, it finishes dough without making the dough over done and dry.
